What Cigars Does The Viaje Skull and Bones Line Offer? The Viaje Skull and Bones is one of the largest and hardest to track lines of stogies in the history of the industry. Altogether, the line consists of 22 (yes, 22) different releases, some of them remixes of previous releases and others just a quick blip in what constitutes some of the most popular sticks in recent years. With its iconic Jolly Roger branding and bold flavors, this is one line that screams for attention. Fortunately, it is one of the few that lives up to its bold appearance and marketing.

What smokes are in the Viaje Skull and Bones line?

Though there have been 19 separate releases in the line, they consist of a handful of blends. These include the Daisy Cutter, the MOAB, the WMD, the FOAB, the Cloudmaker and the Little Boy. All of the line’s blends are medium to full bodied and medium to full strength.

The Daisy Cutter

The very first release in the line, the Daisy Cutter is named after the bombs used in Vietnam to clear helicopter landing zones. This smoke makes a big bang as well, with a flavor profile that consists of some intense sweet wood, leather and tobacco notes. Some reviewers also detected some chocolate and pepper in the profile. Its wrapper is a Nicaraguan Sun Grown Criollo and comes with Nicaraguan binders and fillers. It is available in a single, 4 x 54 vitola.

First released in 2011, the MOAB was updated and released in 2012 and 2014 as well. Named after the Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb (nicknamed “Mother of All Bombs), the MOAB is also wrapped with a Nicaraguan Sun Grown Criollo and filled with a Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The MOAB hits with some black pepper, spice, oak, espresso, cinnamon and leather flavors. It is available in a 4 1/2 x 56 format.

The WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction) was also released in 2011 and 2012 before getting an update for a 2014 release. The WMD is another Nicaraguan Puro, with a Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper front and center. Reviewers state that it evokes flavors of black pepper, earth, wood, coffee, herbs and cedar and comes in a 3 3/4 x 54 package.

The Little Boy

Named after one of the first atomic bombs, the Little Boy is a 4 1/4 x 56 smoke that comes with the same Nicaraguan wrapper, binder and fillers found elsewhere in the line. It packs a combination of red pepper, spice, sweet earth, espresso and leather flavors in its squat profile.

The FOAB (Father of All Bombs) is another Nicaraguan Puro and is available in a single 4 1/2 x 56 format. It produces a range of bitter espresso, cedar, leather, earth and sweet flavors that make it a perfect complement to the MOAB.

The Cloudmaker

The Cloudmaker, named for the terrifying T-12 bunker buster bombs, is the newest release in the line, and the blend follows the same Nicaraguan Puro pattern. It is one of the largest smokes among the Viaje Skull and Bones sticks, coming in at a 5 x 60 vitola. It produces a number of complex flavors, including cedar, black pepper, wood, meat and fruit notes.
