What Does The AVO Uvezian Greatest Hits Cigars Sampler Set Include? The AVO Uvezian Greatest Hits cigars are a 14 piece sampler set of the legendary blender’s limited editions. Each of them tied to a single year, with the exception of 2012, which gets two of the blends. It’s not easy recreating respected blends, and many of these throwbacks fall flat due to poor execution. That wasn’t an option with this sampler, and so it was given to masters Henke Kelner and Eladio Diaz to do right. By all accounts, they have succeeded in a big way and have even received approval from Uvezian himself, which is quite the feat. Aficionados will have to move quick if they want to secure the AVO Uvezian Greatest Hits cigars, though, as only 5,000 samples are available, and they are sure to be snapped up in a hurry.

The 14 piece sampler includes the following blends:

  • The 2001 “75,” which has an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper, a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers. It is a 7 x 50 Double Corona.

  • The 2002 “22,” rolled with an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper, a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers. A 5 7/8 x 50 Figurado is the vitola of choice.

  • The 2003 “77,” created with an Ecuadorian wrapper and Dominican binder and fillers. It is a 6 1/2 x 50 Toro.

  • The 2004 “Legacy,” which is, again, produced with an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper and Dominican tobaccos in the binder and filler; a 5 3/4 x 48 Belicoso.

  • The 2006 “80,” which, no surprise, is made with an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper and Dominican tobaccos; a 6 x 52 Belicoso.

  • The 2007 “LE 07,” produced with yet another Ecuadorian Sun Grown and Dominican tobacco combination; a 5 5/8 x 48 Corona Gorda.

  • The 2008 “Tesoro,” rolled with an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper, a Dominican San Vicente binder and Dominican fillers; a 5 3/4 x 50 Robusto.

  • The 2009 “Companero,” made with a Cuban Seed Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper, Dominican binder and Dominican fillers; a 6 x 54 Toro.

  • The 2010 “LE 10,” produced with an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper, a Mexican binder and Dominican fillers. It is a 5 1/2 x 55 Super Robusto format.

  • The 2011 “85th,” which consists of a Dominican wrapper, a Peruvian binder and fillers from the Dominican as well; a 6 3/4 x 50 Diadema.

  • The 2012 “La Trompeta,” rolled with an Ecuadorian Sumatran, a Dominican binder and Dominican Criollo fillers; a 6 1/2 x 54 Torpedo.

  • Another 2012 stick, the “25th Anniversary Edition.” It’s produced with a Dominican Criollo Sun Grown wrapper, a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers; a 6 x 52 Toro.

  • The 2013 “Dominant 13,” made with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Dominican binder and several fillers, mostly from the Dominican and one from Peru; a 6 x 52 Toro.

  • The 2014 “88,” which is a Dominican Puro; a 6 x 52 Belicoso.

Apparently, those who enjoy Ecuadorian wrappers and Dominican tobaccos should consider the AVO Uvezian Greatest Hits cigars a top choice.
