Find Primer Mundo Cigars For Sale OnlineSince 2006, El Primer Mundo cigars have been one of the fastest growing brands in the industry. The company’s founder, Sean Williams, started the company after deciding to work in the hobby he loved so much. After several stints in home construction, pharmaceuticals and real estate, Williams decided that the tobacco industry was where he fit. After an extended stay in Nicaragua to learn about the nature of tobacco growing, harvesting and processing, he was ready to start blending on his own. The company has flourished under Williams’s leadership and other companies have taken notice.

Though it was already considered one of the most successful boutique manufacturers out there, El Primer Mundo cigars took a huge step forward with a distribution deal with PDR Cigars. With PDR’s access to retailers across the country, Williams’s small labor of love could now be found just about everywhere. Also, the deal with PDR placed Williams in a top role within PDR as the brand’s director of sales. Thus far, it has proven to be a profitable venture on both sides.

The boutique currently offers six lines, though it only had one major release at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show. The Liga Miami is perhaps its best known blend, a full bodied and full strength smoke with an Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper, a pair of binders from Nicaragua, and fillers from the Dominican and Nicaragua. The blend consists of some sweet cream, nuts and wood flavors, with a bit of cedar in the profile.

The Black Label is wrapped with a Nicaraguan Rosado Oscuro and finished with a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Panama and Nicaragua. It’s medium to full in terms of body and strength, and features a number of chocolate, coffee and wood flavors. Some nuts and molasses are also present, giving the stick a bold, sweet taste.

The Blue Label is a milder stick, with a Connecticut Shade wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua, Honduras and Peru. It evokes some caramel flavors along with cream, hay and some mild pepper. There’s also a tart citrus in the profile.

The Red Label is medium to full in strength and body and punches with some black coffee, chocolate, nuts and black pepper flavors. The wrapper is a Nicaraguan maduro, the binder is from Honduras and the fillers are a combination of Honduran, Nicaraguan and Peruvian tobaccos.

The Epifania is perhaps the strongest and most complex blend Primer Mundo cigars offer. It features an Ecuadorian wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and fillers from the Dominican and from Nicaragua. It creates a swirl of flavors, including wood, pepper, natural tobacco, caramel, citrus, bread, and spice notes. The result is a complex stogie that changes throughout the smoke.

The company’s 2013 release is the La Hermandad. This stick comes with a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. It produces a range of flavors consisting of natural tobacco, earth, leather and spice flavors. It is medium bodied and medium strength, so it offers mass appeal.

With the company’s excellent track record and Williams’ strong salesmanship and craftsmanship, it is positioned well for the future
