Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 Cigars Are Available For SaleThe Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 cigar comes in the following sizes: a 5.5 x 50 Robusto, a 6.5 x 52 Toro, a 6.25 x 52 Torpedo, a 7 x 48 Churchill, and a 6 x 60 Sixty. The smoke’s wrapper is Cameroon, the binder is Nicaraguan, and the filler is a delightful blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. This is a medium strength stick with plenty of positive reviews.

One reviewer describes how the stogie is so oily it is glistening, and that there was a perfect roll to it, with a smooth feel. The review speaks of the heft to the stick and how examining the foot will show the fillers favorable tobacco variation. The Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 cigar boast dual bands with royal blue and white coloring. The unlit foot is described as being like cookies and wheat, with the unlit draw itself being sweet, and still cookie-like. Upon being lit, it was noted that the stogie offered some caramel notes, and wood joined that upon smoking into the first third. Continuing into the middle third, caramel dominated, but there were also some hints of leather and coffee. Gearing down in the final third, a nutty aroma joined a hint of vanilla, and the finish was sweet. The ash was described as holding on for a full half of the stogie, with an iconic burn. This stogie’s construction was stated to be well done and the draw was no less than perfection. This reviewer liked the aroma of the Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 cigar as well, and felt it was even better than the terrific smoke, with the way it complimented everything. The review concluded with a comment on how impressive the stogie was, even considering it possibly the very best Cameroon ever smoked personally by the reviewer. The stick was considered to be complex yet subtle, and to be a good price.

In another review, the Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 cigar taken on was the Robusto, and the reviewer appreciated the additional half inch over the typical Robusto he had experienced. After a straight cut into the cap, the cold draw offered caramel and wood notes for a pleasantly simple draw. The flavor remained simple throughout the smoke, but was described as producing notes that were outstanding. The caramel from the cold draw continued into the early lit stages of the smoke, and was detectable from the beginning to the end. It was not overly sweet and helped balance the tobacco’s other flavors. Hints of coffee entered into things at the early part of the first third. While the reviewer did not notice spice on the tongue, he did recognize some at the nostrils. The finish was described as perfect, and the entire smoke was smooth, with no harshness. The burn rate and temperature were perfect, and the draw nearly so. The reviewer considers this to be among the top releases from this brand in recent history, and it is one that would be recommended to new as well as seasoned cigar aficionados. Rocky Patel Vintage 2003 cigars were also considered a brand that would be worthy of purchasing an entire box, in this reviewer’s opinion.
