Villiger Colorado Cigar For Sale OnlineThe Villiger Colorado cigars are one of the newest additions to the Villiger collection. This manufacturer is by no means new to the industry. It has been around since 1888, and has sold over 500 million cigars around the world. Its headquarters still remain in Switzerland where it all began, but the tobacco they use comes from all over the world. They have primarily been in the machine rolled manufacturing since its inception, but in 2009 they decided to branch out in to the hand rolled market. This newest release, Villiger Colorado cigars is another flavorful example of this long heritage. It was on all accounts a labor of love in its production. They tested more than 150 blends to find the perfect one, and this blend was given a 93 rating by Cigar Journal magazine.

These newest offerings are available in the following sizes: Churchill 7 x 50, Double Robusto 5 ½ x 54, Robusto 5 x 50, and Toro 6 x 50. They are sold either in a five pack or in a box of twenty. Villiger Colorado cigars are considered to be a premium smoke. Each one is individually hand rolled and wrapped in cellophane to keep them fresh.

The tobaccos that are used in the production are considered to be some of the finest available. They all come from some region of Nicaragua. The wrapper is Jalapa Colorado, the binder is a mix of two tobaccos, both Esteli Habano and Ometepe Habano, and the filler is a blend of Jamastran Habano, Esteli Corojo, Esteli Criollo, and Ometepe Habano.

Since the Villiger Colorado cigars were added to the company’s IPCPR show’s offerings this year, more people have had the opportunity to try these sticks. Reviewers that have enjoyed them have raved about the tobacco blend that the company chose to use in them. These display some of the best tobaccos that Nicaragua has to offer. The wrapper is a reddish-brown color with a red and gold band. It is said to be slightly oily, with no visual flaws. Held in the hand, it has a very solid and well packed feel to it. Many reviewers noted how well constructed this stick is. The pre-light draw is noted as being effortless, and has flavors of cream with sweet fruit notes. Upon the initial light the fruit flavor is still there, but there is some earthiness and pepper that seem to subdue the fruitiness. Those flavors seem to ebb and flow throughout the entirety of the smoke. None of the flavors were said to dominate over another, and there is no real transition in flavor. It remains consistent from beginning to end. However, some reviewers state that the sweet fruit flavor seemed to be the strongest of them all.

These are new to the market and not many aficionados have had the pleasure of lighting the Villiger Colorado cigars up. The reviewers that have smoked one have stated that his would be considered a rich smoke. Strong enough for a smoker that enjoyed a full body smoke, but mild enough for someone wanting to try a premium stick. These are reasonably priced, available at one’s favorite local or online cigar shop, and would be a great addition to anyone’s humidor.
