Find San Lotano Pinolero Maduro Churchill Cigars For SaleAJ Fernandez Cigars has done it again with their San Lotano Pinolero Maduro. A diverse blend of tobaccos from the different growing regions of Nicaragua, this cigar is a complex mixture of exotic flavors and fragrant aromas that will transport you to a land of jet-black earth, volcanic mountain ranges, and plantations that rival Cuba’s famed tobacco growing region. As the makers of the ever popular Man O’ War and Diesel cigars, AJ Fernandez knows what it takes to make an exceptional smoke. A protégé of Alejandro Robaina, a man considered the godfather of tobacco and Cuba’s finest grower, Abdel J. Fernandez learned from the best of the best. Today, AJ Fernandez still oversees day-to-day operations at the Tabacalera Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. His grandfather in pre-Castro Cuba originally grew the San Lotano brand and AJ revived it back in 2010. Aficionados say their newest offering to this historic line does not disappoint.

Hand rolled and made from proprietary tobacco seeds that only the Fernandez family holds, the San Lotano Pinolero Maduro is an exceptional example of legacy and innovation. The wrapper made from sun grown and Pinolero Maduro is a medium golden brown in appearance, with some veining and an oily sheen. The wrapper lends a grassy, nutty note to the cigar with hints of honey to top it off. Aficionados stated that it is possible to twist the pigtail cap off. On the cold draw, there were notes of earth, leather, grass, spice, and honey. Upon first light, there is a burst of pepper and hay added to the flavors present in the cold draw. The first-third is a savory smoking experience that wraps you in a blanket of spicy, aromatic smoke. The spiciness of it warms the palate as hints of cream and cocoa become more pronounced. Reviewers stated the second-third is one of the most enjoyable smoking experiences. The cigar is smooth and creamy with a balanced draw. The pepper flavors tease as they dance lightly over the palate. There are notes of wood, cocoa, nuts, and honey that create a sweet profile. The smoke and well-formed ash production is ideal and lend to the overall ambiance. The sweetness tones down during the final third of the stogie. The honey, wood, and pepper fade leaving the earth, leather, and nutty flavors present. The burn line is even and the ash is still well formed from first light to last draw.

The San Lotano Pinolero Maduro cigars come in four different vitolas: the Churchill (7” x 52), the Toro (6” x 52), the Robusto (5” x 52), and the Torpedo (6½” x 52). Overall, reviewers stated that the different flavors pair well with each other and keeps them coming back to this particular cigar. The construction, long fillers, ash, burn line, and balanced draw are of exceptional quality. Novices and aficionados will both find something to enjoy when smoking this medium strength stogie. AJ’s grandfather would be proud of this newest addition to his legacy.
