The Ortega Wild Bunch cigar is one of Eddie’s most ambitious projects to date. To be exact, it’s one of Eddie’s 12 most ambitious projects to date, because this stogie is available in 12 different blends and wrappers. The series was inspired by his time spent in the tobacco industry and all of the interesting people he has met. A new stick is being released every month in 2013, and each one is dedicated to a person whom Eddie has met personally.



Ortega Wild Bunch Cigar January Release Big Bag JohnThe January release of the Ortega Wild Bunch cigar was the Big Bad John. It is a full bodied stick that comes with a Nicaraguan wrapper, and binders and fillers from Esteli. Like all of the other Wild Bunch blends, it is available in a single vitola. For the Big Bad John, it is a 6 7/8 x 60. All of these releases also feature binders and fillers from Esteli and the Jalapa Valley.



The February release was the Iron Mike
, a full bodied smoke that comes with a Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro wrapper. It is available in a 4 7/8 x 54 size.



The March release was the Island Jim
. This stick is a medium bodied smoke that comes in a 6 1/2 x 52 vitola. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Habano.



Ortega Wild Bunch Cigar Collection April Release - Tony the BossThe April release of the Ortega Wild Bunch cigar was the Tony the Boss. It is a medium bodied and medium strength stogie that comes with an Ecuadorian Natural wrapper. It can be found in a 7 1/2 x 49 format.



The May release was the Dandy Mccoy. It is a medium bodied stogie with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper and is available in a 6 x 54 size.



The June release was the Honest Abe, a medium bodied stick with an Ecuadorian Natural wrapper. This Ortega Wild Bunch cigar can be found in a 6 1/2 x 52 format.



The July release, the Wild Bill, is a medium bodied smoke with a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. It is available in a 6 x 46 vitola.



The August release was the Fast Eddie, a medium bodied stick wrapped with an Ecuadorian Sumatran. It comes in a 6 1/2 x 38 vitola.



Ortega Wild Bunch Cigar Collection September Release - Gearhead GaryThe September release was the Gearhead Gary, a medium bodied stogie. It comes with an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper and it can be found in a 6 x 52 format.



The October release, the Warrior Joe
, is a medium bodied stick that is available in a 6 1/2 x 50 size. It is wrapped with an Ecuadorian Dark Sumatran.



The November release was the Da Byrdman, a medium bodied smoke that comes with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. It is sold in a 6 x 54 size.



The December release was the Crazy Jack, a full bodied blend available in a 7 x 58 vitola. It comes with a Nicaraguan Esteli Habano wrapper.



Each Ortega Wild Bunch cigar has its own set of flavors, but a sweet creaminess is the most common among them. Each stick comes with a band featuring the inspiration’s likeness. In general, they can be handled by smokers of all experience levels, though novices may find the Crazy Jack, Big Bad John and the Iron Mike a little bit stronger than the others.
