This stick is a Nicaraguan puro, so the wrapper, binder and filler tobaccos are all from Nicaragua. Each smoke is encased in a paper sleeve with the same design as the band. The wrapper is light brown and is very rustic looking, with large veins and some visible seams. It comes with a well done cap and a visually striking band. It is silver and black and features the name of the stick and a warrior wearing a jaguar mask. The band is large and reflects a lot of light, boosting its aesthetic appeal. The Edgar Hoill OSOK cigar is available in four vitolas, including Callejero (5 1/2 x 48), Travieso (5 1/2 x 54), Cabron (6 1/2 x 60) and Desmadroso (7 x 52). The pre-light aromas consist of some tobacco, spice, and damp wood notes.

The first-third of the Edgar Hoill OSOK cigar hits the smoker with some strong flavors. Right away, reviewers detected a combination of black pepper and toast that dominates the profile for the first few draws. During the final third of the Edgar Hoill OSOK cigar, the black pepper and spice from the pre-light reappear and ramp up in intensity. The leather and damp wood notes still form the major part of the profile, but the pepper, spice and tobacco flavors create a strong range of secondary flavors. The finish has some cocoa and espresso taste to it, providing an interesting contrast to the rest of the intense profile.

The Edgar Hoill OSOK cigar is medium to full bodied and full strength. Its powerful blend of flavors makes it an ideal choice after a large meal or for an experienced smoker. The burn and draw are both well above average and do not interfere with the quality of the stogie. Overall, it is an excellent smoke from an up and coming blender.
