Where To Buy Rocky Patel Bold Sixty Cigars OnlineAlthough the brand was created in Naples, Florida, by the eponymous founder, the Rocky Patel Bold line was developed by Rocky’s brother. The brand is known for their annual creations, and this maduro is one of the six new cigars released by the company in August of 2013.

In appearance and scent, this cigar is attractive. The dark cocoa bean color of the wrapper contrasts nicely with the red of the band, and the triple cap is flawless. The pre-light smell is a bouquet that features spice, sweetness, and hay. The Connecticut broadleaf wrapper is dark, toothy, and has been aged precisely to enhance the flavors. The tooth, which is another name for the oils found in miniscule pockets on the wrapper, is responsible for the strength of the taste of the tobacco. One of the things that make the Rocky Patel Bold so unique is the double binder that is implemented on this cigar. Although a double binder is not rare, it is uncommon for the tobaccos of the binder to be so extremely different. One comes is a San Andres Mexican Negra and the other is closer to home, from Connecticut. The filler hails from two parts of Nicaragua, Esteli and Jalapas.

The name Bold is extremely fitting given the dark appearance and the strong flavors associated with this stogie
. Reviewers found this cigar to have full flavor and strength. Each draw was said to be met with abundant smoke. Once lit, the immediate flavors were a strong peppery kick, a lingering espresso, and a woodsy note that bordered on charred. During the second third, the faint sweetness that had been mingling with the stronger flavors comes to the forefront of the palate. It has been described at this point as both savory and earthy. The final third allows the pepper to make appearances on the retro-hale, while the espresso shifts to cocoa, and the fruit-like sweetness found in the initial scent come forward. Reviewers recommended the Rocky Patel Bold as an after dinner cigar. It was found to be a solid representation of what the entire brand has to offer cigar enthusiasts. The quality of the construction was also praised. It was noted by various reviewers that even though the burn line wavered a bit, it never needed correction.

It is rolled into 4 different sizes that offer different smoking experiences due to the varying ratios of the fillers to the wrapper
. Those vitolas are, from smallest to largest, the Robusto (5 ½” x 50), the Sixty (6” x 60), the Torpedo (6 ⅛” x 52), and the Toro (6 ½ x 52).  Each vitola is available in boxes of 21.
