Leccia Black Cigars For SaleIt took a while for Sam Leccia to get back into the industry, but his partnership with the Torano family has given him a new platform and a chance for him to share his Leccia Black cigars with the world. This blend is paired with the White blend and features wood fire cured tobaccos. This gives the stogie a stronger punch and interesting aromas not found anywhere else. They began shipping these cigars in late May, so they may be difficult to find at many retailers.

Leccia Black cigars feature a Habano wrapper and a Nicaraguan Rosado binder. Dominican and Nicaraguan ligeros and a Brazilian viso are in the filler, in addition to a tobacco known as “dark fire.” This tobacco is cured using wood-fed fire, imparting smoky flavors and subtle layers into the profile. The wrapper is dark brown and reviewers loved its flawless construction. There is some light veining, but no seams and no hard or soft spots. It gives a little when squeezed, but isn’t considered spongy by reviewers. The band shows off the brand logo, the letter ‘L’ in old English type, and also has the brand name in simple lettering. Some reviewers detected a strong aroma of barbequed meat, which is extremely rare.

The first third of the Leccia Black cigars starts off with a novel combination of smoky, sweet and spicy flavors reminiscent of barbeque. Aficionados attributed this to the unique dark fire tobacco, which evoked strong notes of smoked wood. The barbeque taste slowly transitions to a sweeter flavor that ends off with a smoky finish. Like its counterpart, the Leccia White, this stick produces a sweet aftertaste that stays on the palate for a while.

During the second third, the cigar keeps most of the barbeque flavors going. The sweetness is still the dominant note, but additional spice, similar to red pepper, also joins the mix. Smoked wood imparted by the dark fire tobacco is also noticeable, and the smoke produced by the stogie smells like an outdoor summer barbeque.

In the final third of the Leccia Black cigars, reviewers got more of the same barbeque flavors, though they weren’t disappointed. It’s rare to find a stick that creates this type of unique flavor profile, so the lack of secondary, more subtle flavors was not missed. However, in addition to the barbeque and smoked wood, some aficionados also tasted some cocoa in the background and whiskey on the retro-hale. Reviewers had no problems with the burn or draw, and the stick performs at a high level in every possible way. While smoking, the bright white ash provides a stark contrast to the dark wrapper.

In all, most reviewers stated that this was one of the most unique smoking experiences they’ve had in a while. Some believed it will make top lists in the industry before the year is out. It is available in four vitolas, including 660 (6 x 60), 650 (6 x 50), 552 (5 x 52) and 446 (4 x 46). It is a medium-full offering in terms of strength and flavor, and both experienced smokers and adventurous novices will find Leccia Black cigars to be one of the most interesting releases this year.
