Estilo Cubano cigars please aficionados with its strength and body. The Estilo Cubano cigars are from Ventura, a fairly young company that’s been active since its founding. Some of the company’s other lines include the Pura Sangre and Las Ramblas. This smoke was made with experienced aficionados in mind and offers a lot of punch and flavor. It pairs well with a dark coffee and is the perfect way to end a big meal. This makes it an ideal breakfast stick and is tailor made for cigar smoking on a lazy weekend morning.

The wrapper on this stick is a Viso Habano Maduro, the binder is from Nicaragua and the fillers are a Seco Habano and a Ligero Habano. It was created in four vitolas, including Robusto Gordo (4 3/4 x 52), Toraso (5 3/4 x 54), Lancero (6 x 38) and Matador (6 1/2 x 56). The wrapper is almost black and is extremely smooth. Most reviewers couldn’t detect any significant veins on the paper, and it has a slight oily sheen. The band is gold, orange and black and has an almost carnival look to it. The lettering is bold and curvy, spelling out the name of the stogie. The prelight draw consists of some hay, earth and oak flavors. Some reviewers believe the oak tastes charred.

The initial third of the Estilo Cubano cigars starts with a blend of white pepper, spice and oak flavors that also tastes a little roasted. Throughout the first-third, the spice develops in several ways, eventually taking on a nutmeg taste. About an inch in, the roasted flavor combines with the oak to produce a charred wood note. The spice and charred wood gives the stick a strong aromatic quality and rich flavor that is best handled by experienced smokers. Near the end of the first-third, an earthy note joins the profile and slides into the background with the white pepper.

During the second-third of the stogie, reviewers noted the charred wood, spice and earth flavors remaining strong and joining a bitter dark chocolate taste. The wood and spice pair well with the chocolate, giving the stogie a nice sweet, bitter and spicy combination. With the bitter chocolate flavor, this makes the smoke an ideal partner to a strong cup of coffee.

In the last third of the Estilo Cubano cigars, the flavors hold steady for the most part, with the charred wood and dark chocolate both ramping up in strength significantly. The spice and earth notes fade into the background as well, giving the stick a smooth, mild flavor. The smoke finishes in this way, producing a cool, soft nub.

This stick is full throttle, with lots of strength and body making it a punchy stick to handle. Reviewers loved both the burn and draw and it produces a beautiful salt and pepper ash. Veteran smokers will find a lot to like with this smoke, combining both flavor and power that are memorable.
