L Atelier El Suelo Cigar BundleThe L Atelier El Suelo cigars are rapidly becoming a favorite for enthusiasts of all levels. The single stick price averaging around $4 makes it a reasonable smoke for any budget. Most reviewers agreed that these can be enjoyed by both aficionados and novices alike.

The L Atelier brand is the collaboration of Pete Johnson, Sean Johnson, K.C. Johnson, and Dan Welsh. One of the lines that falls under this brand is the El Suelo, which means the soil in Spanish. The L Atelier El Suelo cigars have been greatly anticipated because of the men that are behind its making. These are said to be bundle smokes of the highest quality and will not disappoint, even with the inexpensive price tag.

These were crafted in Esteli, Nicaragua in the factory of Tabacalera Cubana. These sticks are well packed with long filler tobacco. The wrapper is made of Ecuadorian Habano, the binder is Connecticut Broadleaf, and the filler is a blend of Nicaraguan and Connecticut Broadleaf. It falls in the medium body range. The L Atelier El Suelo cigars are offered in the following sizes: Campo 6.2 x 60, Prado 5.7 x 58 and Terreno 5.2 x 56. They are sold as a single stick or in a bundle of twenty. A bundle of twenty averages in price anywhere from $60 to just under $100, and will be dependent on the particular size of the chosen sticks.

L Atelier El Suelo cigars have a nice reddish brown wrapper, with minimal veins running throughout, and a nice oily sheen. The draw is said to be easy and immediately gives off some great flavors. There is an aroma and flavors of cocoa, earthiness, spices and oak, and some reviewers noted leather as well. The burn line from beginning to end is fairly spot-on. Any unevenness quickly fixed itself. The ash held tight as well, and was a solid gray color. The overall flavor profile of this stick was consistent. None of the flavors overpowered the others as they all seemed to ebb and flow nicely together. In the first-third, reviewers stated that there were flavors of sweet earth, nuttiness, spice, hints of leather, and notes of cocoa. Into the second-third there is still the cocoa and spice, but then a coffee and sweet tobacco enters in. During that time, some reviewers noted a creaminess which balanced out the cigar really nicely. The final-third is where reviewers noted that the spiciness really ramped up. This gave the stick its true medium body status.

Overall, people that have had the opportunity to enjoy the L Atelier El Suelo cigars agree that these are a very well-balanced smoke. A great combination of earth, spice, leather, and creaminess is a good description of these gems. They are a great price and enthusiasts say that more than one can and should be purchased for that price. This is a great stick to be enjoyed upon purchase, but as they are allowed to age in the humidor, the flavors become more intense adding to the enjoyment of this cigar. It is a great addition to anyone’s humidor, and can confidently be given as a gift.
