The Curivari Café Noir cigar is a new limited edition release that was first introduced to the public at the 2013 IPCPR show. Find Curivari Cafe Noir Cigars Online For SaleAlthough the show featured new offerings from over a dozen companies, this particular smoke has created a bit of mysterious buzz about it. It’s a Nicaraguan puro, with the wrapper, binder and filler all grown from Cuban seeds. This new release is darker than the Reserva Limita Café, and has more of a dark brown Colorado Maduro wrapper. The tobacco seeds were all from authentic Cuban stock of Criollo and Corojo. These cigars are all hand rolled.

Curivari was one of the few “break out” companies at the 2011 IPCPR show. Their goal, like that of many other companies was to create a non-Cuban cigar that tastes like the current cigars from Cuba. This company went beyond that goal by creating specific lines that mimic particular Cuban smokes.

This dark smoke comes in three sizes, all chunkier than the typical Parejo. The smallest size of these Robustos is 5 ½ by 54, the middle size is 6 by 56, and the largest is 6 ¼ by 60. The Curivari Café Noir cigar comes semi-box pressed and are boxed as a 10-count. The wood-grained box and the rich tobacco colored labels are understated and look refined holding the ten chunky triple-capped sticks. The retail cost of this stick is in the middle range, depending upon the size. Those who have smoked the Curivari Café Noir cigar say that the blend is excellent and full-bodied. The darkness of the wrappers appearance seems to also enter into the palate, with notes of espresso.

Curivari cigars are all blended with a focus not on strength, but on achieving the right balance. All of their cigars feature a triple cap. The flavors described for their line include coffee, cocoa, medium to full body, spice of pepper, a touch of berries, leather and other spices. The company has the reputation of being one of the most mysterious producers of hand rolled cigars made with Tabacalera de Nicaragua. The company is known as “ultra-boutique”. Most of their creations are limited and their talent is unique. The Cuban influence is unmistakable, and everything from the taste, to the draw and even the appearance says “Cuban.” These have been called a great “morning” cigar, and are often recommended by connoisseurs to those who would like to try something new.
