Cult Blood Red Moon CigarsThe Cult Blood Red Moon cigars are, like other stogies produced by the company, a little off-beat and mysterious. They are only available in a couple of small vitolas, but each is said to pop with flavor. Although the brand has only been around for a short period of time, the producers are already adept at creating unique tastes with their blends. Most of the company’s lines are medium bodied and medium strength, and this one is no different.

They only come in two sizes, including Mini Corona (4 3/4 x 42) and Mini Perfecto (4 3/4 x 44). The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Habano, and the binder and filler are both Nicaraguan. Cult Blood Red Moon cigars don’t come with a band. They are sold in packages of five each and come in a rather interesting looking box. On the front is the name of the stick in crimson cursive. Next to it is a red crescent moon and a drawing of a woman with flowing hair. It is one of the more artistically inspired packages in the industry. The cigar itself is somewhat humble looking, with a medium brown wrapper and a little veining. The cap is well done, and reviewers appreciated how sturdy they were for their size. They have a pleasant aroma consisting of pumpkin pie, graham cracker, nutmeg and cinnamon.

For the first inch or so of the Cult Blood Red Moon cigars, red pepper and cocoa blasted the reviewers with some intense flavors. Also present is some sweetness and some strong creamy notes. Some reviewers believed that the red pepper would be too strong if the cocoa and cream didn’t keep it in check. Fortunately, this stogie is well balanced and doesn’t waste any time introducing the aficionado to its layers.

Into the middle portion of the stick, the red pepper is still charging. It is the lone non-sweet flavor in the stick, which also adds coffee, nuts and cedar to the mix. At this point, the red pepper, cocoa, cream, coffee, nuts and cedar are all jockeying for position. The red pepper remains the easiest to discern among them, but the cream and cedar are also quite prominent.

During the last inch of the Cult Blood Red Moon cigars, the flavors are said grow in complexity and begin to intermingle. It has been said that there is a lot of taste within this small package, but reviewers didn’t detect a lull in the experience whatsoever. The red pepper grows in intensity before the finish, bringing the stogie to the high side of medium. It finishes off with bold pops of pepper, cocoa and cream. Reviewers didn’t detect any bitter or harsh notes on the finish and said the resulting nub is cool and soft.

The Cult Blood Red Moon cigars are among the more interesting stogies available. Their powerful flavor combination is paired with strong performance. The burn and draw are both ideal, and though the ash is a little fragile, it is a nice salt and pepper color. Each stogie takes about 30 minutes to finish off, but their value price and premium blend make them worth it for experienced aficionados and novices who want to experience something different.
