C and C Corojo CigarsIntroduced by Joe Chiusano, C and C Corojo cigars are the newest addition to the smoke shop shelves. Joe brings with him all the experience and expertise that he earned during his time with Cusano. These are wonderful sticks that are each individually created in the Dominican Republic. They offer the smoker an Ecuadorian wrapper of the same name, a binder made of Dominican leaf, and each of the three Cuban seed leafs, seco, ligero, and viso make up the filler.

This cigar offers a triple cap, and a very light wrapper that is the color of brown sugar. There are veins that are visible, but it still manages to look like a smooth body. It is well packed and has no soft spots. It feels rather heavy in the hand.

The first things a smoker will experience with C and C Corojo cigars are the notes of cedar, nuts, and pepper. This flavor is tied together with an overall spiciness that is difficult to describe, but it is pleasant on the palate. It has an even burn and an easy draw offering just enough resistance.

Cedar, nuts, and pepper flavors finish up the first third, and end on a note of pleasing but not overpowering sweetness. The middle third of the smoke quickly moved to a taste of earthiness and a very full tobacco taste which is balanced by pepper to round out the flavors. Some reviewers noted that they detected hints of citrus notes and a taste of freshly baked bread.

The final portion of the smoke begins to introduce hints of cream and white pepper. There is also a faint but noticeable cinnamon flavor. One has the ability to enjoy this stick down to the nub without becoming too hot.

Most of those that offered a review on the C and C Corojo cigars all agreed that it was not a complex smoke but a good one. The flavor profile was predictable but pleasant. The flavors are layered in a way that none of them overpower the other. They work in harmony to complement each other. Many also stated that this was a great go-to smoke.

The C and C Corojo cigars are priced in the lower price range making them a real bargain for the connoisseur. These medium to full bodied smokes are definitely worthy of a spot in anyone’s humidor.

The Dominican Republic has long been revered for its fertile tobacco fields because of the right climates and rich soil. That helps to make this smoke that much more attractive. Since its introduction in 2011, it has been a favorite of aficionados everywhere.

The handmade smokes deliver a very nice flavor profile, and the care that is taken in choosing just the right leaf is definitely apparent. The C and C Corojo cigars are offered in three sizes:

• Robusto: 5 X 50

• Toro: 6 X 50

• Churchill: 7 X 50

It is undeniable that this is a great stick, and reviewers and aficionados will confirm this statement. For the price, it is quite a surprise and a very affordable addition to any collection of cigars.
