Where To Find Casa Bella Connecticut Cigars For Sale OnlineThe Casa Bella Connecticut cigars were one of three blends released by Sindicato at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show, along with the Hex and Affinity. Sindicato was established in March 2013 by a group of 45 retailers who believed their knowledge of the retail side could help them produce superior stogies. Heading the company is Jim Colucci, a legendary member of the tobacco industry and former executive VP of marketing for Altadis USA. Of the three releases, this blend is the value stogie and the most mild. It is perfect for people who are new to the hobby or are looking for an entry point into tobacco.

This stick comes with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, an Indonesian binder and fillers from the Dominican and Nicaragua. It is available in five vitolas, including Robusto (5 x 52), Corona (5 1/2 X 44), Toro (6 x 54), Gran Toro (6 x 60) and Churchill (7 x 52). The Casa Bella Connecticut cigars are medium brown and silky smooth in appearance, with little veining and none of the blemishes that normally mar the look of budget smokes. The band is red, white and black and is simple in appearance, with the name of the stogie featured on a white background. The prelight notes consist of some earth, graham cracker and cinnamon.

During the initial third of the smoke, some natural tobacco, grass, earth and nutty flavors come through in the profile. The tobacco is slightly sweet and quickly takes control of the smoke. Reviewers also considered the grass and nutty flavors strong, but they are definitely secondary to the tobacco. The earth note is more of a tertiary flavor at this point. Near the end of the first-third, the natural tobacco flavor loses its sweet edge and becomes more of a traditional tobacco taste.

In the second-third of the stogie, the natural tobacco flavor starts off the strongest but is soon joined by the nutty flavor up front. These two notes duel for top billing while the grass flavors fade some. The earth notes disappear completely around the halfway mark.

The final third of the Casa Bella Connecticut cigars changes the profile up a bit. The tobacco and nutty flavors quickly shift into a secondary role as a strong sweet cedar flavor emerges and takes the dominant position in the profile. This is how the stogie finishes off, with just a touch of black pepper that kicks a little near the end.

Can Value Cigars Like Casa Bella Connecticut Be Flavorful?

Absolutely, for a value smoke, this blend offers a lot of flavor and excellent construction. It is mild to medium bodied and mild in strength as well, so it is perfect for novices looking for an easy to handle stick. The burn and draw are both well above average and help a smoker forget that they are enjoying a budget stogie. In all, Sindicato’s debut blend is better than expected and suggest good things about the company’s future.
