Like many company’s, Alec Bradley is going retro. With some of the worlds best cigars already in their portfolio, such as the Prensado, and the Tempus, Alec Bradley wanted to go back to their roots. Founder Alan Rubin never forgot where he came from, or the cigars he started out with that made him who he is today. In that spirit, he is bringing back an old favorite with a new look.

The Medalist is a smooth and creamy mellow smoke that calls back to the humble beginnings of Alec Bradley. It is hand crafted in the Plasencia factory in the heart of Honduras. It uses a light brown Honduran wrapper followed by an aged Honduran binder and a blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. It has notes of cocoa, leather, cream and a bit of earth.

Not only was the blend crafted to represent Alec Bradley’s beginnings, its price was as well. Like his early work, Alan has designated the Medalist as a value brand, so its price point is lower than his higher end lines such as Prensado. Don’t let that fool you, this is a top notch smoke and shows how far Alec Bradley has come and where it can still go. Enjoy your Medalist today at Serious Cigars.
