Padilla Dominus Cigars
The Padilla Dominus cigars made their debut at the 2012 IPCPR (International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers) show held in New Orleans. These Nicaraguan Corojo Puros are said to pack a punch in the spiciness department.
This boutique brand cigar line is only sold through a select group of 50 dealers. Because of the limited amount of tobacco grown for this particular stick, many will want to buy a few to keep around. Even though they are fairly limited in quantity, the Padilla family chose to give aficionados a wide variety of sizes to choose from. They made them in the following lengths and ring gauge sizes:
- Churchill 7.00″ x 48
- Torpedo 6.25″ x 52
- Double Robusto 5.00″ x 54
- Toro Gordo 6.00″ x 52
- Corona Gorda 5.75″ x 46
- Robusto 5.00″ x 50
- Perla 4.00″ x 44
This medium to full bodied smoke is stunning to look at. The tobacco leaf wrapper is a gorgeous deep, reddish brown color and sports an exceptionally attractive band. The band’s focal point displays a stoic head of a lion and the signature letter ‘P’ directly below it. All who offered their reviews were impressed by the solidity and even firmness from head to foot.
The Padilla Dominus cigars were unanimously heralded as being a nice addition to anyone’s humidor. The spiciness and nice creamy smoke were said to be enjoyable at the end of a long hard day. They also agreed that even though this smoke was not overly complex, it had a great mixture of peppers, wood, leather, caramel, and cinnamon to please the senses.
