Diamondback Cigars Have a History of Excellence

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

Diamondback Cigars Diamondback Cigars are a new offering from an old company. They are produced by the Altadis Company, which in various forms has been around since 1918. When it was first started, it was a conglomeration of six independent merchants. It took them a few years to get the knots worked out and get everyone to work cooperatively, instead of competitively, but by 1921 they had ironed things out and were officially one. Diamondback Cigars are made by Omar Ortez, who is a well-known stogie maker. He blends them in Nicaragua, with filler and binder from Nicaragua, and a wrapper of Ecuadorian Connecticut tobacco.

The Altadis Company has raised millions for helping others with its Montecristo Relief Organization. This group focuses on helping those affected by hurricanes or natural disasters of other types. Millions of dollars has gone towards helping communities rebuild, as well as providing scholarships and other economic boosts. Whether it is an immediate need, or later assistance, this group seems to do it all. This is certainly a nice thing to see from a big corporation, knowing that they have not forgotten the needs of the people.

Diamondback Cigars are made under the name of the Altadis cigar brand, but like all of the other cigars in this line, it is technically owned by Imperial Tobacco, which bought the company in 2008.  The company appears to continue to grow and flourish, and the headquarters were actually being readied for expansion as of summer 2011. With its history of excellence, the company is committed to providing every cigar smoking afficianado with stogies like Diamondback Cigars, where the quality is top notch, and the price is fair.

Casa Magna Domus Magnus Primus: Spectacular After Dinner Smokes

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

The new Casa Magna Domus Magnus Primus set the standard for after dinner smokes. The Casa Magna Domus Magnus Primus arrived on the scene this past July of 2011.  It was introduced into the IPCRP (International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers) earlier in the year.  This full bodied cigar is a limited edition and will only have 5,000 boxes sent out to various retailers.  This family owned and operated business is located in Doral, Florida.  It all began in Cuba in the 1880′s and has been carried on by the family today.  That company is now called SAG Imports.  SAG stands for “Sobrinos de Antero Gonzales” which means, “Descendants of Antero Gonzales”.  He was the man that started all this way back in the 1880′s, and his family has been diligent in carrying on the dream he began.

Dedication, reliability, and quality service is why Casa Magna Domus Magnus Primus was first begun.  They wanted to give their loyal consumers a nice, after dinner dessert cigar that complemented the rest of the line.  This Casa Magna Domus Magnus Primus is almost perfectly square in shape due to it being tightly pressed into a hinged box of ten.  It is a larger and more sturdy stick with a 6 3/8 x 55 ring gauge.  The Optimus is a 5 3/4 x 52 and is also packed into a box of ten.

The wrapper, the filler, and the binder are all Nicaraguan making this a puro.  These hand-made cigars are wrapped in a Sun Grown wrapper from the famous Jalapa region and are well packed.  Cigar reviewers share that when they are pinched, they have a slight softness to them.  Many enjoy the sweetness rolling around on their palate.  They are a nice addition to the after dinner scotch or cup of coffee.  One reviewer raved that anything that is smoked after the Casa Magna Domus Magnus Primus will be a disappointment as there is nothing that can top this stick.

This full bodied cigar is a limited edition and only 5,000 boxes have been sent out to various retailers. These are a wonderful addition to everyone’s humidor, so visit your favorite online cigar shop today to order some today.

Casa Magna Domus Magnus Are New & Flavorful Nicaraguan Puros!

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011
Cigar: Casa Magna Domus Magnus Wrapper: Nicaragua Sun Grown (Jalapa)
Binder: Nicaragua Filler: Nicaragua
Strength: Medium Sizes: 6.5×55 Maximus and 5.75×52 Optimus

Casa Magna Domus Magnus Cigars are delightfully flavorful! The Casa Magna Domus Magnus has surpassed its predecessor, the Casa Magna Colorado Robusto, in popularity among cigar smoking enthusiasts everywhere.  The Casa Magna Domus Magnus is smooth in its visual appearance, and its superior flavor package makes it a must have for any serious smoker.

This new addition to the Manuela Quesada and Plasencia family creations has received very favorable reviews from many cigar aficionados.  The smoothness and velvety chocolate coloring of the wrapper greets the eye of the smoker upon opening the humidor.  Two bands surround the exterior of this snuggly packed Nicaraguan filler and binder wrapped in a Nicaragua Sun Grown tobacco leaf.  The first band of red, blue, and yellow with gold lettering circles the cigar, while the black band with gold lettering surrounds the foot.  The look is finished off with a short pigtail.

The bouquet of the Casa Magna Domus Magnus is as appealing as the look.  Aromas of woodsy, leathery, chocolate notes greet the senses, according to reviewers.  These smells enhance the flavor that immediately greets the smoker upon lighting up with a favorite torch lighter.  They do not disappoint as, according to the reviews, the draw brings on tones of cedar, leather, a spicy chocolate, and light citrus flavors.  The toothy sensation is strong but not overpowering.  As one passes through the thirds, the citrus flavor retreats to the background and the spicy chocolate takes a prominent center stage.  Then, at the final stage, the citrus flavor restates itself as an equal in the flavor blend.  The lovely salt and pepper ash and sufficient smoke are the final pieces to this delightful new cigar.

The anticipated Casa Magna Domus Magnus has exceeded its expected popularity.  Reviews rave about the variable flavor palate that this spicy tobacco blend gives the smoker.  This fine cigar will make an excellent addition to anyone’s humidor.

San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol Cigars are made with Pepin's sun grown tobacco.Nothing offers a delicious cedar and spice flavor with a hidden hint of chocolate quite like the fabulous creation by world-renowned tobacconist Don Pepin Garcia, the San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol cigar. Available in three popular sizes, this is a cigar preferred by smokers who enjoy a nice medium-bodied experience when it comes to indulging in their favorite past time.

The San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol has a first appearance that really is mellow and may not stand out in a crowd. A few veins cover the dark caramel wrapper, but what makes the wrapper really stand out is the fact that it was grown in Nicaragua on Don Pepin Garcia’s personal farm.  Each wrapper has been hand-selected and hand-picked by the Garcia family insuring a unique experience among aficionados.

Of course, the first draw is as important as the unique wrapper. The sun grown Nicaraguan tobacco offers a delicious blend of cedar and spice making the San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol a wonderful addition to any humidor. However, some people say the burn is a little slow and uneven, with the ash flowering and falling prematurely a bit during the first part of this wonderful smoke.

While the second third is a continuation of the first, the final third provides an even burn with virtually no need for correction.  The hints of chocolate towards the end now mimic the beginning aroma, and that is why the San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol is so popular.

For the medium-bodied cigar lover, the San Cristobal Seleccion del Sol is a superb example of why cigars are so popular today. For a wondrous experience, this is the cigar worth examining a little bit closer.

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

San Cristobal Clasico cigars are as rich and smooth as silk. San Cristobal Clasico is part of a line of the San Cristobal Cigars.  They were originally trademarked in the United States around the mid 1990’s and gained their name from what is now called Havana, Cuba.  Ashton had a bit of a hard time finding the perfect blends of flavors and the right manufacturer to do so, but re-launched the line of smokes when the ideal blend arose.

The San Cristobal Clasico cigar or San Cristobal Classic as it is sometimes known, is a rich blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos with dark brown coloring, smooth, oily Nicaraguan wrappers with healthy veins and no visible blemishes.  They are made perfectly and are adorned at the finish with a traditional Triple-Cap featuring a beautiful parrot.

The San Cristobal Clasico cigar features a strong, full-bodied flavor that has been noted as being rather rich and complex as one would expect of a Nicaraguan puro.  It is said to be very smooth and creamy, starting out with notes of cedar and spice that eventually give way to vanilla and espresso before finishing with a sweetness that is reminiscent of a fine glass of liqueur.

Cigar smoking aficionados find that San Cristobal Clasico cigars to have a perfectly even burn that needs no adjustments whatsoever.  They are also noted to have a very smooth white fir ash.   Each draw yields a decent volume of smoke that tantalizes the senses and leaves a sweet, earthy scent that only adds to the cocoa and coffee flavors that come with each draw.

If there is ever a search for the best cigar gift for someone that truly enjoys sitting back and relaxing while having a smoke, be sure to look into this wonderful line.  San Cristobal Clasico cigars have forged their way in the cigar industry, pleasing even the toughest of palates with their amazing array of flavors.
